ZOOM! Whitening

Everybody wants clean, white and healthy-looking teeth, but as we get older our teeth get stained and eventually lose their luster.

There are a lot of factors like your diet (coffee, tea, soda) and lifestyle (smoking) that trigger the yellowing of your teeth. If you’ve been wanting to get rid of the unsightly color and stain on your teeth, you’ve come to the right place!

Millions of patients worldwide have enjoyed brighter, more youthful smiles with teeth whitening treatment. There are two types of teeth whitening: In-Office Teeth Whitening which is done by our hygienists, and Home Teeth Whitening, where patients are given a custom-made tray and a whitening kit to use at home.

The entire chairside whitening process, including the preparation, can take up to 2 hours. Depending on the shade of your teeth prior to whitening, you can achieve a result of up to 5-8 shades brighter.

Bleaching

Bleaching or teeth whitening is a simple, painless way to make your teeth whiter. Although teeth are very hard, the outer layer, enamel, has microscopic pores that can discolour over time, from smoking and food colouring. Sometimes, discolouration can occur during early tooth formation from antibiotics and fluoride consumption.

Home Bleaching

The bleaching gel applied in a transparent tray fits snugly over the teeth. It can be used during the day or while sleeping. The process takes from several days to a couple of weeks.

Office-bleaching

This bleaching technique is fast and effective. The gel is applied on all front teeth and the whitening process is activated by laser light. It is done in one or two visits. All kinds of bleaching can cause post-treatment sensitivity and some amount of gum irritation. These symptoms disappear within one to three days after completion of treatment. The whitening lasts for 6 months to 1 year, depending on your personal habits, such as smoking, paan chewing and drinking coffee and tea. The outcome of every case is different.
